Portfolio Reporting Analyst

Report directly to the firm’s founder and portfolio manager; assist in the day-to-day portfolio construction via analytics, programming and reporting.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Daily monitoring of firm’s risk and P&L reports
  • Enhance coding to improve analytics/reporting while working closely with the trading team for input
  • Analyzing all aspects of firm’s trading and execution
  • Generating ad hoc analyses for portfolio manager
  • Monitoring of trading P&L as well as Portfolio P&L; identification of trends and P&L drivers
  • Collaborate with team e.g.: work with CTO to engineer enhancements to platform via programming; collaborate with Director of Investor Relations to streamline P&L attribution for external reporting, etc.
  • Working with PM to facilitate the implementation of portfolio and reporting priorities

Qualifications

  • Minimum two-to-four years fixed income reporting and analytics experience
  • Strong technical background with a degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Finance, Math, or Science
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task
  • Strong execution and self-management abilities
  • Demonstrates creativity in solving unconventional problems
  • Knowledge of SQL
  • Programming experience in Python or R is required

Senior Software Engineer / Developer

Description of Responsibilities

This is an opportunity to join a fast growing dynamic technology driven fixed-income asset manager in NYC to design and develop a variety of leading-edge new proprietary applications across algorithmic trading, execution systems, compliance systems, pricing systems, risk systems and research technologies.

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Design, develop, test, support and maintain a wide variety of next generation technological applications across all aspects of the business
  • Guide and advise the team on the next generation of platforms, systems and technologies, then build them.

Requirements

  • At a minimum, C++, Shell, Linux, SQL (PostgreSQL), NoSQL (Mongo/Redis), Go
  • Low-latency trading systems, massively multi-threaded applications, complex message-queue, protocol-based, pub-sub architectures
  • Relevant experience in Software Architecture Design

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience designing and developing complex applications, in a financial institution, with a computer science, math or engineering degree
  • Documented experience designing and building high-frequency, low-latency, high-volume trading systems is most definitely preferred
  • Strong knowledge of c++, low-latency high-thread platforms, databases, shell scripting on Linux and other modern technology platforms
  • Good understanding of key design principles for software architecture and development, clean code and programming practices
  • Ability to leverage existing expertise and experience to enhance existing workflows and algorithms

This is an opportunity to join a small team to work on a fresh end-to-end platform for a fast growing dynamic technology driven fixed-income asset manager. The role is to work with all members of the firm to evolve the software and platforms that support all the firm's activities.

Candidates will be expected to:

  • Design, develop, test, support, automate and maintain a wide variety of next generation technological applications across all aspects of the business
  • Get involved in all aspects of IT, including infrastructure, vendors, tool selection and support

Requirements

  • At a minimum, Ruby, Rails, Shell, C++, Linux, PostgreSQL, NoSQL (Mongo)
  • Python, R, Go are nice to have

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience developing applications, preferably in financial institution, with a computer science, math or engineering degree

Quantitative Developer

This role provides a unique opportunity to work alongside and be mentored by the experienced Portfolio Manager and CTO. Our quantitative developers are expected to utilize programming, statistical, mathematical, big database and financial skills acquired though professional and academic endeavors in the design, development, fine tuning, and testing of leading-edge models and algorithms in a real trading environment. Responsibilities Include but are not limited to

  • Working with Senior Management and real traders to design, model and generate algorithm ideas.
  • To design, develop, test, stress-test, back-test and fine tune models and real-time algorithms created.
  • To present, document and discuss said models and algorithms.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors, Masters or PhD in Computer Science, Financial Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or related fields.
  • Strong passion for programming, data mining, and research.
  • Even stronger passion for intuitive, analytical, out-of-the box thinking and problem solving.
  • Ability to program in C++, R, Python or Matlab (and take on new technologies as they arise), using complex architectures, data structures, multi-threading, distributed computing, machine learning or even artificial intelligence.
  • Comfort working in a UNIX production environment.
  • Knowledge of Financial Technology, models and theory.
  • Experience with big data, SQL, fixed-income and real-time preferred.

Database Designer

The role is to create, design, automate, manage and control the massive amounts of data and databases in our strongly technology-driven firm. Candidates will be expected to:

  • Design, develop, test, secure, support and maintain a wide variety of next generation databases.
  • Ensure all data is loaded, replicated, backed-up and stored to maximize the utility for trading, analysis, back-testing, reporting and all other business functions.
